Established in 2008
Motivated by the desire to help teachers overcome various challenges in teaching and keep the classroom community connected after school hours, Edmodo was created.
Founders
Nic Borg
Along with O'Hara, Borg founded Edmodo. Borg built web-based tools and applications for schools and districts prior to launching Edmodo. Borg was inspired to create a platform that students can interact safely to increase learning when many social sites had to be blocked from students in school. Borg has been named in the prestigious Forbes “30 under 30” list in 2014.
